William Rogers

William (Bill)  Rogers, age 66, of Coldwater, died Friday, May 13, 2016 peacefully at his home.

He was born October 11, 1949 in Celina, to the late Harry & Leota Rogers. He married Gloria (Jutte) in 1970.

Bill is survived by his wife, Gloria, & three daughters  Angie (Mike) Sunderland of Coldwater, Dawn (Dave) Huwer of Coldwater, Crystal (Dustin) Braun of Rockbridge and son Chad (Beth) Rogers of Versailles.  He has seven grandchildren, Autumn, Amber, Chase and Cole Sunderland, Haley Huwer and Brady and Lanna Rogers.  He has three sisters, Joan Baugher, Marilyn Ballinger-Lauth, Marge Hoenie and one brother, Herman (Bump) Rogers who all reside in Florida.

Bill graduated from Celina High School in 1968 and furthered his education at ITT Technical School in architectural engineering.  Bill's career started with Sun Construction.  He later was in the insurance business earning many great trips.  Bill owned and operated the Grand Slam U.S.A. Family Fun Center for 15 years in Celina,  bringing roller hockey and hitting leagues to the area.  He enjoyed all the kids and all the action!  His current business ventures were PrePaid Legal Services and SendOutCards.

Bill loved life and was Mr. Positive!  His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He loved attending all of their events and helping them with ball.  Bill's passions were baseball, traveling, and his country home place.  Many people came to camp, swim, play ball and enjoy all the activities.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. The family will receive friends after 9:30 AM on Friday at the church.  A celebration of  life will be held on Sunday, May 22nd, with an open house from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Coldwater Memorial Park, Shelter House #2.
