William D. Bill Preston, age 69, of 537 Touvelle St. in Celina, passed away at 11:05p.m. on Friday June 10, 2011 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born on July 5, 1941 in London, Connecticut to the late Harold & Lillian (Merrill) Preston. On July 12, 1975 he married Audrey Stickney, who lives in Celina. Also surviving are his son Andrew Preston of Celina, daughter Julia & Steve Henderson of Celina, 5 grandchildren, Sean Preston, Nathan Preston, Chase Preston, Preston Speelman, Faith Pattillo, sisters Kathy & Mike Martin, Abby Preston, Norma Preston and his brother Richard Preston all of Connecticut. William was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Ellen Preston. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina. He retired as a civilian contractor for the Submarine Manufacturing Company at the Shipyard in Connecticut. When he retired he enjoyed his wood working and furniture building. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday June 16, 2011 at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. John Exman officiating.
