William E. “Bill” Howard II, age 80 of St. Henry passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born on September 26, 1943 in Eizabeth, WV, to the late William & Juanita (Bain) Howard. On March 22, 1986, he married Kathy (Reichert) Howard. Kathy survives at their home in St. Henry.
Also surviving Bill are his children, Kerri & Dave Schlater of St. Henry, Steve & Mandy Howard of Hobbs, NM, Brian & Pebble Howard of Mineral Wells, WV, William III & Laura Howard of Pontotoc, MS, and Shelly Sisneros of Arizona. Other surviving family members include 18 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and in-laws: Lou Howard, Donna Brunswick of Ft. Recovery, Ed Reichert of Maria Stein, Irene & Ralph Roessner of Ft. Recovery, Karen & Ed Rauh of New Weston, Dan & Sandy Reichert of Celina, Evelyn & Tom Young of Celina, Junior Reichert of Paradise, TX, Larry & Lynne Reichert of Maria Stein, and Ron (Hank) & Julie Reichert of Osgood.In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a granddaughter Gracelyn Marie Schlater, his brother Herbert Lee Howard, a son-in-law Dade Sisneros, and in-laws: Judy Johnson, Roman Reichert, Joseph Reichert, Ernie Reichert, and Cy Brunswick, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Ralph & Fritz Reichert, and step-son Kevin Cluckey
Bill was a 22 year veteran of the U. S. Navy, and was a member of the Calvary Chapel Baptist Church in Minster. He enjoyed riding motorcycle with his brother-in-law Ed and son-in-law Dave. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow and attending their various activities.
Funeral services for Bill will be at 10:30am on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry with Pastor Robert Warnick presiding. Following the service burial with military honors will take place in Nativity Cemetery in Cassella. Friends and relatives may call from 3 - 8 pm on Wednesday, March 6, or from 9am until the time of service on Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Chapel Baptist Mission Fund. Condolences for the family may be expressed in person or online at hogenkampfh.com
