Wilfred J. Klenke, age 91 of Coldwater, died on Wednesday Morning, May 28, 2014 at Briarwood Village. He was born June 2, 1922 in St. Henry to the late Norbert & Victoria (Thobe) Klenke. He married Frances (Selhorst) on September 4, 1948 in Carthagena and she survives in Coldwater. He is survived by Twelve children, Tom (Rox) Klenke of Coldwater, Dan (Rose) Klenke of St. Marys, Peg (Ken) Dues of St. Henry, Mary (Fred) Kremer of Maria Stein, Ed (Connie) Klenke of St. Henry, Karen (Nick) Evans of St. Marys, Charlene (Jim) West of Wellington, FL, Roger (Connie) Klenke of St. Henry, Bill (Tammy) Klenke of Coldwater, Mark Klenke of Coldwater, Kari (Gary) Prenger of Maria Stein, and Fred Klenke of St. Marys, 31 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, a siblings, Elmer (Mary Lou) Klenke of Coldwater, Ann (Paul) Tobe of Coldwater, Esther Goettemoeller of Maria Stein, Mildred (Urban) Knapke of Maria Stein, Delores Muhlenkamp of Bryant, IN, Ivo (Ginny) Klenke of Lima, and Patricia (Joe) Brockman of Portland, IN, in laws Lilly Mock of Ft. Recovery June Klenke of Springboro, Joan Ranly of Ft. Recovery, Henry & Peg Selhorst of Coldwater and Homer Schieltz of Florida. He was also preceded in death by a son Gary, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, siblings Don Klenke, Bob Klenke and Mary Lou (Harold) Ranly, and in laws, Dan Goettmoeller, Marvin Muhlenkamp, Ludwig (Bertha) Selhorst, Julie (Ray) Wilker, Bernard (Carol) Selhorst, Odelia (Robert) Bruggeman and Clara Schieltz. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena, the Ministry of Praise, the St. Lawrence Men's Society of the Church and the Coldwater American Legion. Wilfred was a lifelong farmer and a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during WWII. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Henry Church. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday from 9 to 10 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
