Wilbert W. Bruns, age 88, of St Rt 219, Coldwater, Ohio, died on Friday, December 07, 2012 at Celina Manor, Celina, Ohio. He was born May 24, 1924 to the late August Bruns and Anna (Leugers). On April 27, 1946 he married Thelma (Bertke) and she survives in Coldwater. Wilbert is also survived by seven children, Donna Gilmore & Jim Livingston of Coldwater, Dave & Jill Bruns of Coldwater, Dale & Deb Bruns of Coldwater, Dodie & Jerry Bruggeman of St. Henry, Denise & Dan Brackman of Coldwater, Don & Beth Bruns of Coldwater and Dan & Kim Bruns of Coldwater, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, siblings, George & Rosie Bruns of Chickasaw, Leonard Bruns of Greenville, Helen & George Barhorst of Ft. Loramie, Dolores Gaier of Ft. Loramie and Dorothy Lehmkuhl of Lakeview and a sister-in-law Janice Bruns of Jackson Center. He is preceded in death by his step mother Agnes (Buening), a son-in-law Jack Gilmore, three brothers and spouses Alvin Bruns, Ralph & Alice Bruns and Walter & Dorothy Bruns, a sister and spouse Mary Agnes & Dutch Ranly and two brothers-in-law Jack Gaier and Jim Lehmkuhl. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Men's Holy Name of the church, Coldwater Knights of Columbus Council 1991, Coldwater Eagles #3025 and a social member at the Coldwater American Legion Post 470. He worked as a Milk Hauler for the former Pet Milk in Coldwater and Owned & Operated Home Service Station in Coldwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Walling, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
