Wanda Neva Fahncke

Wanda Neva Fahncke, age 83 of Maplewood of Shane's Village Rockford, passed away at 12:10p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 19, 2013 at the Laurel's of Shane Hill, Rockford. She was born on Dec.24, 1929 to the late Otto and Eda (Kable) Fahncke. Survivors include her brothers & sister-in-law Martin Fahncke of St. Marys, Richard & Rosie Fahncke of Wapakoneta, sisters & brothers-in-law Anna & Herbert Brandt of Rockford, Marcella Werner of Greenville, PA, Celesta Howell of Columbia City, IN, and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers & sisters-in-law Kenneth & Gene Fahncke, an Infant brother Luther Fahncke, Helen Fahncke, sister Lauretta Brooks and her brother-in-law Lisle Howell.

Wanda was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Liberty Township, Rockford. She enjoyed attending Cheryl Ann Programs, Celina. She was an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church Quilting Circle and Senior Citizens of Celina. She enjoyed playing bingo and creating a variety of needle crafts.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday Nov. 23, 2013 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Liberty Township, with Rev. Sharon Stonerock officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8p.m. on Friday Nov. 22, 2013 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and 1 hour before services on Saturday at the Church.
