Virginia R. "Ginny" Forthofer age 90 of Russia, Ohio died at 8:05 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster, Ohio. She was born April 24, 1922 in Newport, Ohio to the late John and Mary (Moorman) Perin. She married Lawrence F. Forthofer on April 24, 1946 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport, Ohio. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2000. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Peg & Dan Ranly, Minster, Ohio, grandchildren, Kim & Pat McGinnis, Toledo, Ohio, Keith & Janel Ranly, Sidney, Ohio & Krista & Scott Paulowski, Marysville, Ohio, great grandchildren, Maddie, Shawn & Alyssa, brothers & sisters; Eileen & Ralph Boerger, New Bremen, Ohio, Rosalie DeLoye, Newport, Ohio, Rev. Glen Perin, West Milton, Ohio, in-laws Esther Perin, New Bremen and Vee Presas, Ft. Loramie. She was preceded in death by brothers Carl Perin, Mike Perin and Paul Perin, brother-in-laws, Bob DeLoye & Art Presas. She was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, the Ladies Sodality of the Church, 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus, Auxillary. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, tending flowers, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the owner/operator of Forthofer IGA in Russia, Ohio with her husband. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Monday April 22, 2013 at St. Remy Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Amberger celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday, April 22. Burial will take place in St. Remy Cemetery.
