Virgil C. Arkenberg age 90 formerly of Ft. Loramie, of Minster, died 9:16 AM Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center. He was born October 24, 1921 in Ft. Loramie to the late Ferdinand & Mary Frances (Echemann) Arkenberg. He married Norma (Winner) Luttmer on January 28, 1967. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2002. He is survived by children Linda & Ray Fiessinger of Ft. Loramie and William & Jill Luttmer of Minster, grandchildren Craig & Stacey, Chris Fiessinger & Greg Kirkendall, Chad & Curt Fiessinger, Brooke & Tim Cordonnier & Jake Luttmer; great grandchildren Ellie, Anna & Ross, Jeremy & Andrea, brother & sisters Beatrice Seamen, Englewood, OH, Marietta Ritz, Lockport, NY & Ben & Theresa Arkenberg, Ft. Loramie. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, a lifetime member of Ft. Loramie American Legion & a veteran of The Army Air Corps during WWII. He was retired from Goodyear, St. Marys. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Monday March 19, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday March 18 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday March 19. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.
