Verona E. Hickerson age 79 formerly of McCartyville, Ohio died at 4:15 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Versailles Health Care Center. She was born on December 16, 1934 to the late Kenneth & Mabel (Frasier) Ferguson. She married Roger Hickerson on July 18, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2003. She is survived by children Laura & Vince Bergman, Minster, & Chris & Kris Hickerson, Ft. Loramie, 10 grandchildren, Tony & Emily Bergman, Randy & Cassandra Bergman, Cory & Elizabeth Bergman, Gary Bergman, Adam Bergman, Aaron Bergman, Kenny & Laura Hickerson, Jodi & Tom Ross, Traci Hickerson & Dusty Hickerson, 8 great grandchildren, brother & sister Gerald & Evelyn Ferguson, Miamisburg, Wanita Wilson, Sidney. She was preceded in death by sister Olive Mary & Earl Sheaks & 2nd Lieutenant Edward (Bobby) Ferguson killed in action during WWII. Verona was an avid bingo player and enjoyed making crafts. A memorial service will be held 4 PM on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
