Vernon S. Boeke, age 74 of Waynesboro, TN formerly of McCartyville died on July 29, 2018 at his home in Waynesboro, TN. He was born in McCartyville, Ohio on July 19, 1944 to the late Sylverius & Loretta (Henke) Boeke.  He married Ellen Foerster on June 11, 1988 in Toledo, Ohio. She survives in Waynesboro, TN.  He is also survived by 5 children: Todd & Heather Boeke, Gatlinburg, TN, Roseann & Marty Vargus, San Diego, CA, Kenny Tallchief, San Diego, CA, Dawn Pryka, Toledo, Jerry Boeke, Vaynesboro, TN, 9 grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Norb & Carol Boeke, Toledo, Eileen & Kenneth Kasch, Northwood, OH, Marie & Jim Duvendeck, Stewart, FL, Maryann Schroeder, Stewart, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step mother Ann (Szuwart) Boeke and brother-in-law Edward Schroeder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, McCartyville, Ohio with Rev. Vincent Hoying, Celebrant.
