Urban H. Holthaus, Sr. age 93 formerly of Brandewie Rd. Ft. Loramie, OH died Sunday January 30, 2011 at Versailles Health Care. He was born on May 9, 1917 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio to the late John G. & Anna (Meyer) Holthaus. He married Leona DeLoye on October 14, 1942 in Newport, Ohio. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2007. He is survived by children Dennis Holthaus, Dayton, Linda & Nick Arling, Osgood, Urban Jr. & Theresa Holthaus, Ft. Loramie, James & Karen Holthaus, Ft. Loramie, Mark & Mary Holthaus, Batavia, OH; sister Alvina & Leonard Peltier, Russia, in-laws Marietta Holthaus, Ft. Loramie, Edward Meyer, North Star, Urban & Bea DeLoye, Sidney; 14 grandchildren, 27 Great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters Carrie Griesdorn, Emily Brackman, Lawrence, Loretta Everman, Gregor & 2 infant brothers. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, and an usher for 50 years, a member of Ft. Loramie Knights of St. John, Ft. Loramie Fire Department and of the Tri-State Gas Engine Association. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 10:30 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, OH with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, OH from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 and from 9 to 10 AM on Thursday, February 3, 2011. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
