Urban J. DeLoye age 87 of Sidney, Ohio passed away at 1:35 PM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home in Sidney. He was born on August 19, 1929 in Newport, Ohio to the late Frank J. & Albina M. (Harrod) DeLoye. He married Beatrice I. Hull on May 23, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio. She survives in Sidney. He is also survived by 3 children: Michael J. & Stacey DeLoye Boynton Beach, FL, Curtis & Mary Jane DeLoye, Minster, Deborah DeLoye, Sidney, 4 grandchildren: James, Thomas, Logan Marie & Luke. He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters: Francis & Victoria DeLoye, Norbert & Clara DeLoye, Catherine & Arthur White, Leona & Urban Holthaus, Margaret & Edward Meyer. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport, Ohio. He was a graduate of Ft. Loramie High School in 1947, a veteran of the US Air Force during the Korean War and a member of the Ft. Loramie American Legion for 60 years. He worked at Leroi Dresser Industries and Sullair Corp. as a technical service representative and retired from Masland Industries, Sidney as a maintenance supervisor. Urban was a Cincinnati Reds fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and yard work. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport, Ohio with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Burial will follow in Sts Peter & Paul Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Friday, September 23 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturday, September 24 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital and Wilson Hospice. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
