Urban J. Albers age 88 of Minster, Ohio died at 3:30 on Friday, December, 19, 2014 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born on August 27, 1926 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio to the late William H. & Teresa (Sherman) Albers. He married Violet Meyer on November 8, 1947 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio. She survives in Minster. He is also survived by children; Ann & Dennis Huelskamp, Botkins, Mark & Mary Agnes Albers, Minster, Marvin Albers & Mary Ann Cotterman, Minster, Sharon & Dallas Coats, Botkins, Lynne & Tim Puthoff, West Milton, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild, brothers & sisters; Cletus & Irene Albers, Ashland, Jeanette Weaver, Minster, Dr. Robert & Viola Albers, Coldwater, Mary Ann & Roger Schmitmeyer, Ft. Loramie, sister-in-law Connie Meyer, Minster. He was preceded in death by sister Rosemary & Norm Menker, infant sister Mary Albers, Violets parents Julius & Anna Meyer & her uncle Alex Meyer, in-laws Robert Weaver, Julian "Bud" Meyer, Wilma Larger. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Minster American Legion & F.O.E. #1391. He was a member of the Locker Board, Shelby County Farm Bureau Council 39, 9 years as a board member of the Minster Farmers Elevator and president for 6 years and a member of the Holstein Association. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He was a lifelong farmer and drove his own milk truck route when he was younger. He love fishing at Lake Erie and was a loving Husband, father, grandfather and friend. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Neiberding celebrant. Burial with full military honors by the Minster Firing Squad will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
