Tim Kuehner age 76 of Minster died on August 16, 2026 at Elmwood of New Bremen after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born on November 24, 1949 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Tom & Alice (Heinl) Kuehner. On August 5, 1972 he married Gayle Meyer and she survives in Minster. Tim is also survived by his children: Andy (Mindi) Kuehner, Minster, Aaron (Katie) Kuehner, Durham, NC, Aric Kuehner, Perrysburg and Ashley (Curtis) Scribner, Terrace Park, Ohio. Other surviving family members are eleven grandchildren: Jack, James, John, and Catherine Kuehner, Austin, Sage, Izzy, Nelly and Cora Kuehner, Auggie and Abe Scribner, siblings and in-laws: Terri (Doug) Dicker, Hanover Park, IL, Mike (Marge) Kuehner, Minster, Sandy (John) Maurer, Arlington, TX, Fred (Margaret) Meyer, Minster, Pam (Mike) Sommer, Vandalia. Tim was preceded in death by parents-in-law, Eddie & Norma Meyer, son-in-law Thomas Knierand sister-in-law Peggy (Joe) Bonfiglilo. Tim was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. After graduating from Minster High School in 1968, Tim attended Xavier University earning a degree in Business and Marketing. He then went to work at several banks before ending up at Minster Bank until his retirement. The banking profession was a good fit for Tim because it afforded him the opportunity to participate in many civic and community events in the town which he truly loved.

Tim was a member of Kiwanis and the Minster Civic Association along with being on the Minster School Board and Academic Scholarship Board. Tim was an active member of the Minster Athletic Booster Club and was Booster of the Year in 2022 along with his wife Gayle. The two were instrumental in the success of the Minster Oktoberfest Classic 10K run, having been race directors for many years. Tim was a volunteer baseball coach working with the Minster Baseball youth organizations. It was his love of coaching and baseball that eventually led him to get his umpire’s license which became one of the great passions of his life. Umpiring “kept him in the game” and afforded him the opportunity to be a major part of the baseball community throughout the state of Ohio. His professionalism and attention to detail earned him the honor of officiating multiple state championship games.

His other great passion in life was his love for Xavier University and especially Xavier Basketball. Tim followed the Muskies with a zest that was unmatched and was rarely seen without his “X” hat. He and his family traveled to almost every Xavier game since his graduation in 1972. He was so proud that his four children all graduated from his Alma Mater.

Tim will be remembered for the vigor and enthusiasm that he brought to everything and everyone around him.
