Thomas L. Thomas

Thomas L. Thomas, age 82 of Coldwater, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born May 6, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Paro & Blanch Marie (Marks) Thomas. On February 11, 1956, he married Mary Lee (Billerman) who survives in Coldwater.  He is survived by children, Molly & Jim Hay of Celina, Eric & Beth Thomas of Coldwater, and Juliana & Roger Stammen of Coldwater, nine grandchildren: Mike, Kristin, Lindsay, Emily, Joseph, Nicole, Alex, Maggie & Brady, and five great-grandchildren: Brooke, Josie, Nolan, Alaina & Kaylen. He is also survived by a sister Marlene & Chuck Bragg of Stow, Massachusetts, in-laws, George & Pam Billerman of Findlay, Frank & Joanne Billerman of Montezuma, Earl & Eileen Klosterman of Florida, Jeanette & Howard Osterholt of St. Henry, and  Sue Thomas of Southfield, MI. He is preceded in death by siblings Richard Thomas and Blanche & Carl Rogers, and in-laws, Rae (Billerman) Klosterman, William Billerman, John Billerman, and Judy Billerman. Tom spent many years in education. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the Coldwater American Legion Post #470, Coldwater Knights of Columbus #1991, Coldwater Kiwanis, the Soundwaves Chorus in Celina, Mercer County Elks, a hospital volunteer and a communion distributor at Holy Trinity Church and Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. He was active at Coldwater Memorial Park and enjoyed Coldwater High School sports and spending time with his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow In St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm Tuesday and 9 to 10 am Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Memorials may be made to the Coldwater Public Library.
