Tamara M. Schwieterman, age 55, of Montezuma, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born May 3, 1959 in Coldwater, to the late Cy & Elizabeth (Frey) Overman. She married Louie Schwieterman on June 21, 1980, in St. John Church, Maria Stein, and he survives in Montezuma. She is also survived by five children, Tony & Erin Schwieterman of St. Henry, Andy & Amanda Schwieterman of Montezuma, Jaclyn Schwieterman of Marietta, Sam & Brenda Schwieterman of Dayton and Lydia Schwieterman of Montezuma and special friend Tim Stienke of St. Marys , three grandchildren, Ella, Nora and Gabe, brothers and sisters, Deb & Roger Kremer of St. Henry, Howard & Pat Overman of New Bremen, Bonnie & Jim Rutschilling of Celina, Frank & Jayne Overman of New Bremen, Lisa & Tony Goecke of Liberty, Indiana, and Mandy & Lester Fleck of St. Sebastian, a brother-in-law, Gary Rose of St. Sebastian, and in-laws Jerome & Diane Schwieterman of Chickasaw, and Marian & Bob Heitbrink of Chickasaw. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Rose and parents in law Harold & Mary Schwieterman. She was a graduate of Marion Local High School class of 1977. She received an associate's degree from CBU. She worked at Leugers Insurance Agency in Maria Stein for 35 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, where she was CCD Teacher, Adult Server, Past Parish Council Member, Eucharistic Minister, FOCCUS Couple, and wedding planner. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers, participated in Marriage Encounters, and was the Co- Committee President for the Our Lady of Guadalupe 100 year Anniversary in 2003. Tammy was the current president of Maria Stein American Legion Auxiliary Post #571, was a longtime supporter and volunteer of Zuma Days and enjoyed being with her family and friends, baking and cooking, her specialty was Zucchini Cake. She enjoyed the outdoors and walking with her dog. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 14 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday.
