Stan C. Wilker

Stan C. Wilker, age 69, of Montezuma, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday June 11, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1948 in Mercer County to the late Raymond & Juliana (Selhorst) Wilker. On June 2, 1973, he married Janet Muether. He is survived by children, Nick & Gwen (Homan) Wilker of New Bremen, Jill & Aric Rutschilling, and Lesley & Justin Griesdorn all of Coldwater. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Julia, Grant, and Vincent Wilker; Kamryn and Kaelin Rutschilling; and Lauryn, Lukas, and Wyatt Griesdorn. He is also survived by his brothers & sister, Ken & Marilyn Wilker of St. Sebastian, Judy & Gilbert Knapke of Chickasaw, John & Deb Wilker of Atlanta, Georgia, and Greg & Linda Wilker of Perrysburg; and in-laws, Dorothy Wilker of Dayton, Suzi Walker of Tipp City, Steve & Jo Muether of Celina, and Valerie Muether of Celina. He was preceded in death by siblings, Terry and Don Wilker; and in-laws, Mike and Randy Muether, and Mike Walker. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he was an usher, lector, CCD teacher and past president of the parish council. He was actively involved with Marion Local sports, the Lake Improvement Association, and also enjoyed his association with PressPros magazine. Stan was a longtime Athletic Director, coach, and teacher at Marion Local Schools. He enjoyed his time on the lake and following all of the activities of his grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 15, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Ron Wilker presiding. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Montezuma. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, and from 9 to 9:45 AM on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stan Wilker Memorial Scholarship Fund.
