Ruth M. Beck, age 79 of 215 Dogwood Dr. in Celina passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 5, 2013 at, The Gardens at Celina. She was born on July 20, 1934 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Joseph & Helen (Heyne) Wolters. On Sept. 5, 1964 she married Paul Edward Beck, who died in 1988. Survivors include her daughter Donna (Osborne) & Lance Garcia of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Son David Paul Sr. & Renee Beck,Taft, CA. granchildren David Paul Jr. & Danielle Beck, Bakersfield, CA. William Heriford of Taft, CA, Chelsie Beck, Tanya Beck, great grandchildren Kira Beck, Mia Beck, Madison Heriford, Shaine Heriford, brother & sister-in-law Wilfred (Woody) & Norma (Skeet) Wolters of Coldwater, sister & brother-in-law Martha (Marty) & Larry Poor of Celina, Thomas Budde, Fond Du Lac, WI, step children Sybilla Hertinstien, Tony Palopoli, Philip & Mary Beck, John Beck, Barton & Darlene Beck, Cheryl & Leonard Witcher, Barbara & Rick Padon, numerous step grandchildren, numerous step great grandchildren, nieces & nephews and special friends Della Anderson, Peter Hatch and David & Olive Williams. She was preceded in death by brother Alvin Wolters and three sisters & brother-in-law Marita & James Bertke, Rosella Budde, Pauline Wolters, step daughter Joan Palopoli. Ruth graduated from Coldwater High School in 1952, and moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1959. She obtained employment in the real estate field and remained in that field her entire time in California. At the time of her death she was a retired Escrow Officer. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bakersfield, CA. She was a 25 year member of United Commercial Travelers of America; a former member of the California Escrow Association. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Ken Schnipke officiating. Ruth will be buried in Greenlawn South West Memorial Park in Bakersfield, CA. Friends may call from 5-8p.m. on Tuesday September 10, 2013 and before 10:00a.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Greenlawn South West Memorial Park in Bakersfield, CA.
