Roscoe S. Smith, age 71 of 10837 Mohawk Ct. in Sidney passed away at 10:47p.m. on Monday March 7, 2011 at the St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima. He was born on May 13, 1939 in Hominy Falls, West Virginia to the late Luther & Clarie Pearl (Stull) Smith. Survivors include his daughters Carol J. Knotts of Groveport, Ohio, Tammy K. Smith of Houston, Ohio, step children Bonnie Dirckson of Tennessee, Lynnette Werling of Tennessee, Jeannette Bowling of Sidney, Kathy Napier of Sidney, Lonnie Werling of Sidney, Pam Lecky of Sidney, Cindi Blevins of Kentucky, Angie Blevins of Lima, Chet Blevins of Lima, 6 grandchildren Jessica Marie Reisinger, Charles Lee Smith, Ashley Ann Hughes, Franklin Lee Hughes, Andrew Michael Fogt, Danielle Nicole Dillion, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sisters Patty & Johnny Hinkle of South Carolina, Arlene & Roger Hinkle of South Carolina, Barbara & Leonard Dobbs of Sidney, Ollie Trent of Washington, brother Jerome & Drema Smith, of North Carolina, sister-in-law June Smith of West Virginia, first wife Ruby (Boone) Smith of Celina, Third wife Anna (King) Russell of Texas. Roscoe was preceded in death by his sons Jimmy Dale Smith, Charles S. & Marsha Smith, step daughter Erie Thomas, Brother James Smith, brother-in-law Frank Trent, Second wife Nancy (Rier) Smith. Roscoe was a Coal Minor in West Virginia and retired in 1989 from Garrett-Howell Foundry in Sidney. He was a former member of the Calvary Chapel Church in Minster, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio, with Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating.
