Roman G. Buehler, age 87 of 9411 Turtle Creek Anna, Ohio died of a sudden illness at 5:30 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the ER at Wilson Hospital, Sidney. He was born March 13, 1925 in McCartyville, Ohio to the late Raymond & Dora (Meyer) Buehler. On January 10, 1948 he married Dorothy Schafer at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, Ohio. She survives in Anna, Ohio. He is also survived by nine children; Linda & Mark Enneking, McCartyville, William & Carol Buehler, Kettlersville, Richard (Buck) & Sonia Buehler, Anna, Raymond Buehler, McCartyville, Gary & Molly Buehler, McCartyville, Mark & Deb Buehler, McCartyville, Becky Callison, Wilson, NC, Greg & Judy Buehler, McCartyville, Joyce Buehler, Sidney, brothers & sisters Virginia Boerger, Minster, Leo Buehler, Kettlersville, Joan & Mark Krabbe, Hamilton, John Buehler Dayton, 26 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kathleen, a son-in-law James "Bo" Callison, brothers Orville & Ray and 2 in-laws Clarence Boerger & Mary Buehler. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, Lifetime member of the NFO, lifetime member of the Anna American Legion, enjoyed fishing, playing cards and his Gator. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and a retired lifetime farmer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held10:30 AM Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, with Rev. John Tonkin celebrant. Friends may call at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday January 10 and from 9 to 10 AM on Friday January 11. Burial will be with full military honors at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family request donations be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund or the Anna Rescue Squad.
