Rolland Zimmerman, age 90, of 3820 Hone-Weir Rd. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 1:55p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Miller House Celina, Ohio. He was born on January 19, 1923 in Celina , Ohio to the late Ralph and Elsie (Eichenauer) Zimmerman. On Sept 14, 1945 he married Betty Lou Hays, who lives in Celina. Also surviving is his son & daughter-in-law Craig & Carol Zimmerman of Celina, 3 Grandchildren Amy & Kurt Pottkotter of Dallas, TX, Wendy & Patrick Gill of Dublin, Matthew & Kim Zimmerman of St. Henry, 9 Great Grandchildren Joshua, Audrey, Katherine, Elizabeth, Foster, Owen, Austin, Aliyah and Isaac.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers & sister-in-law; Homer Zimmerman, Earl Zimmerman and Chester & Opal Zimmerman, and his sister & brother-in-law Dorothy & Harold White.

Rolland graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1941. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II with Company K Twenty Second Infantry Regiment Fourth Division. Rolland was a Farmer in Mercer County. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina and a member of the Hopewell Grange. He was on the Board of Directors with the Celina Equity Exchange.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Monday June 17, 2013 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. John Exman officiating. Burial following in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina, with Military Honors by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and the Celina V.F.W. Post #5713. Friends may call from 2-6p.m. on Sunday and before 10:30 a.m. on Moday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contribution may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church Building Fund or State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice. Condolences may be made at LHDfuneralhome.com.
