Robert A. Pleiman, age 89, of Coldwater, died on Tuesday, October 17 2023 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater He was born March 4, 1934 in Coldwater to the late Joseph & Theresa (Stahl) Pleiman. On February 27, 1954, he married Betty A. (Grillot) Pleiman and she died in 2017. He is survived by children, Steven & Lynda Pleiman of Celina, Sue & Ken Ahrens of Coldwater, Tom & Linda Pleiman of Kalamazoo, MI, Karan & Timothy Neal of Princeton, KY, Sharon & Bruce Miller of St. Marys; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings and in laws, Emma Pleiman of Port Charlotte, FL, Marilyn Pleiman of Scottsdale, AZ, Paul Huelsman of Chickasaw, Dorothy & Dan Davidson of Sidney, Rose Magato of New Knoxville, Ruth Rentz of New Bremen, Mary & Bob Morrow of Urbana, Barb & Jim Botkin of The Villages, FL, Adrian Jr. & Jane Grillot of New Bremen and Dave & Sue Grillot of Mason. He is preceded in death by a son Mark; siblings and in-laws Harry Rentz, Alvera & Florian Stelzer, Art & Salome Pleiman, Ernie Pleiman, Tom Pleiman, Richard & Lucille Fleck, Rose Ann & Ralph Post, Alice & Leonard Homan and Marge & Paul Dirksen, Alice Huelsman, Clete Magato. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, Church Choir, Coldwater K of C, Jaycees, American Legion, Eagles and past president of Coldwater Community Picnic. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing, wood working, OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals and Coldwater Cavaliers. Bob worked in construction over 30 years and retired as a foreman from H.A. Dorsten.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday October 23, 2023 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 4 PM Sunday and 9 to 10 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
