Robert J. Link, age 61, of Celina, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born January 7, 1953 in Celina, Ohio to Robert U. & Lucille (Jansen) Link, who survive in Celina. He married Alice A. (Elbert) on June 11, 1994 in Montezuma, and she survives in Celina. He is also survived by a son, Rick (Ashley) Link of Portland, Oregon, two step-children, Edward (Vicki Stevenson) Elbert of Vandalia and Terina (Jerry) Smith of Celina, four grandchildren, Renner, Cambree, Grady and Larkin Link, seven step-grandchildren, Dustin, Kyle and Rachel Grinstead, Eric, Jared, Sam and Jorja Thompson, brothers and sisters, David (Karin) Link of Gahanna, Ann (Bruce Luebke) Romer of Celina, Janet (Dennis) Hoyng of Celina, Lora (Mike) Horan of Deland, Florida, Mike (Andrea) Link of St. Marys and Pat (Susie) Link of Chillicothe and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, and a 1971 graduate of St. Henry High School. He worked at Avco New Idea for a number of years before starting his own carpentry and remodeling business. Bob truly loved his grandchildren and spending time with them fishing, biking, and pontoon riding. He enjoyed time with family. We shall miss the sparkle in his eyes and the laughter he shared. He truly lit a candle of love in each of our hearts that will continue to glow brightly. Our carpenter has gone home to his Father in Heaven, where he will likely assist in preparing rooms for each of his family and friends, adding his creative touch. For everyone who sent cards, letters, visited, called and kept Bob in your prayers, he wanted you to know he appreciated it and was touched by your support and love for him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
