Robert L. Lehmkuhl age 91 of 7161 St. Rt. 119 Anna, Ohio died on Friday December 5, 2014 at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. He was born on July 16, 1923 in Minster, Ohio to the late Harry & Cecelia (Daniel) Lehmkuhl. He married Sylvia Thaman on May 5, 1951 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney, Ohio. She survives in Anna, Ohio. He is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law William J. & Carol Lehmkuhl, Minster, grandchildren: William B., Kaitlyn, Amanda & Rebecca, step grandchildren: Mandy & Tim Fast, Lisa & Dan Burroughs & Brittany Adams, brothers & sisters: Mary Lou Sweida, San Pedro, CA, Alfred & Ann Lehmkuhl, Bellevue, Ohio, Sister Ann Catherine Lehmkuhl C.PP.S., Dayton, in-laws: James & Barb Thaman, Anchorage, Alaska, Carol Thaman, Joplin, MO, Mary Thaman, Bryan, Ohio. He was preceded in death by brother Lester Lehmkuhl, in-laws Laverne Sweida, Luke Thaman, Germaine & Andrew Poeppelman, and Thomas Thaman. Bob was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio. He was a graduate of Minster High School in 1941 and received a Bachelors of Science Degree from the College of Agriculture, OSU in 1944. He was a Veteran of the US Army during WWII. Bob was also a life member of the Minster VFW Post 6342 and a member of the Minster American Legion Post 0387. He was a member of the Minster K of C Council 2158, Minster F.O. E. 1391, Lake Loramie Improvement Association, Minster Civic Association, where he was Citizen of the Year in 2011. He was also a member of the Shelby County Farm Bureau Council 39 and a founding member of the Loramie Watershed Association. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial with full military honors by the Minster Firing Squad will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 and from 9:00 to 9:30 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
