Robert J. Harting

Robert J. ‘Bob’ Harting, age 71, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 5:20 AM. He was born October 6, 1946 in Celina to the late Carl E. & Louise Jean (Alexander) Harting. He is survived by children, Diane Harting of Centerville, and Steve Harting of Centerville; grandson Austin Agnor of Centerville; and brothers Russell (Nancy) Harting & James (Anita) Harting all of Minster as well as many generations of nieces and nephews. Robert served his country honorably for four years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a longtime and dedicated member of American Legion Post 598 for 50 years. Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami Valley (www.hospiceofthemiamivalley.org).
