son Daniel Ayers of Lillington, North Carolina; daughters Debby Garrett of Celina, Diane & Ronald Jones of Douglasville, Ga.; 8 grandchildren Dustin Jones, David Jones, Daniel Jones, Amy Garrett, Aaron Garrett, Andrew Garrett, Robert Daniel Ayers, Christopher Ayers; 5 great grandchildren Baylee Garrett, Isaac Garrett, Sarah Garrett, Jaydyn Garrett and Danielle Ayers; brother Paul & Martha Ayers of Valdosta, Ga.; sister Audrey Anderson of Celina, sister-in-law Maryella Ayers of Leesburg, Fl.
He was preceded in death by:
brothers Kenneth & Marie Ayers, Eugene Ayers; sister Wilma & Virgil Wilcoxen and his brother-in-law Herbert Anderson.
Bob graduated from Celina High School in 1954. He retired from New Idea of Coldwater in 1999 after 33years of service, he also worked at Mersman Brothers Furniture in Celina for 11 years. He was a member of the Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F& AM and was a 32nd Dregee Mason with the Scottish Rite. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the Montezuma Fire Department for 17 years. He enjoyed wood working and making furniture. He loved fishing and was an avid Waterball competitor with the Montezuma Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30a.m. on Friday June 3, 2011 at the Celina Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Larry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8p.m. on Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and 1 Hour before services at the Church on Friday. Condolences may be made at LHDfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to the Community Health Professionals of Celina & Hospice or The Cancer Association of Mercer County.
