Richard A. 'Dick' Murphy, age 85, of 5336 Behm Rd, Celina, Ohio, died at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio. He was born January 30, 1926 in New Carlisle, Ohio to Charles E. & Opal (Gossette) Murphy. On August 07, 1976 he married Barbara (Kling), and she survives in Celina, Ohio. He is also survived by a daughter, Nancy Peck & Tim Garman of Troy, Ohio, four grandchildren, J. Clinton Emmel of Troy, Ohio, Jennifer Sturgeon of Troy, Ohio, Matthew Murphy of Flowry Branch, Georgia and Jessica Low of Troy, Ohio, and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard M. 'Pete' Murphy and a son-in-law, Randy Peck. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in which he served for 22 years. He was a retired truck driver for Schroyer Trucking and enjoyed boating and fishing. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater with Rev. Joshua R. Andrews, officiating. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Memorials may be directed to Grand Lake Hospice.
