Richard H. Brackman age 90 of 1528 St. Rt. 716, Maria Stein, OH died at 10:00 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center. He was born June 16, 1922 in Maria Stein, OH to the late Vincent H. Brackman & Rosa E. Bohman. On January 24, 1987 he married Barbara Cornell and she survives in Maria Stein. He is also survived by his step-children Cynthia & Mark Briggs, St. Marys, Laureen & Randall Lininger, St. Marys, Kent E. Cornell, Edgerton & Nathan Cornell, White Bear Lake, MN, 3 step grandchildren, Morgan Brown, Angie Lininger & Derek Lininger, 2 step great grandchildren Riley Benoit & Lilyaunna Benoit, brother Ivo & Jean Brackman, Maria Stein, sister-in-law Julie Brackman, Troy. He was preceded in death by brother Victor Brackman, an infant brother Linus and an infant sister Maria and mother-in-law Julia Eggleston. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the American Legion, Maria Stein, V.F.W. Chickasaw, Steelworkers Union, was employed at New Idea for 38 years and Maria Stein Grain. He was a veteran of WWII and a Staff Sergeant in the 717 Army Tank Battalion and drove Sherman E8 Widetrack Tanks. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Brenberger Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Maria Stein with full military honors.
