Ralph U. Ording, age 87, of St. Henry, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at his home. He was born March 2, 1928 in St. Henry to the late Henry & Mary (Leugers) Ording. On January 17, 1953, he married Mary Agnes (Post) in Trinity, Indiana, and she survives in St .Henry. He is also survived by five children, Mark & Leigh Ording of Alexandria, Virginia, Cindy & Randy Brunswick of St. Henry, Bill & Karen Ording of Troy, Michigan, Mary & James Pope of Holland, and Tom & Kathy Ording of Versailles, fourteen grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Keith, David, Matthew, Eric, Jonathan, Dan, Steve, Jessica, Jordan, Taylor, Kami, and Elizabeth, eight great-grandchildren, and brothers-in-law, Vic & Shelbie Post of Stewart, Florida and Joseph & Susie Naumcheff of Greenwood, Indiana. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Urban & Cecilia Ording, Arthur & Bea Ording, Edward & Clara Ording, Helen & John Dabbelt, Bernadine & Joseph Rentz and Alma & Don Emrick and in-laws, Rita & Elmer Moritz, Leona & Clarence Hartnagel, Lelia & Fred Minnich, Catherine & Harry Mitchell, Peggy Naumcheff, Rose & David Costello and Eileen Post. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2640 and served on the Mercer County Library Board for 21 years. He was a 1946 graduate of St. Henry High School and retired in 1984 from the former Avco New Idea, Coldwater, after 32 years. Ralph was very active in the St. Henry Community throughout his entire life. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Henry Church, St. Henry. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry on Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
