Phyllis J. Stachler, age 74, of Burkettsville, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Celina Manor. She was born December 4, 1943 in St. Sebastian, to the late Urban & Marian (Moeller) Huber. On May 29, 1965 she married Dennis Stachler and he survives in Burkettsville. She is also survived by her children: Amanda & Tim Bertke of New Bremen, Laura & Bill Ryan of Bossier City, LA, Thomas & Diana Stachler of Ohio City, and William & Tracy Stachler of Osgood. Phyllis is also survived by 11 grandchildren, a sister, Sr. Cecilia Huber of St. Martins, and in-laws: Marlene Huber of McCartyville, Joann Huber of St. Sebastian, Patricia Stachler of Philothea, Darrel & Pat Stachler of Phoenix, AZ, Diane Hemmelgarn of Versailles, Dale & Connie Stachler of Greenville, Duane Stachler of Virginia, and Daniel Stachler of Arcanum.

She is preceded in death by siblings Don Huber, Gerald Huber, Velma & Paul Billerman, Alice Theiman, Myron & Norma Huber and in-laws: Donald Stachler, and Dolores & Dale Droesch.

Phyllis was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, where she was the choir director for over 30 years, and was a member of the church’s Ladies Guild. She formerly worked at Werling and Sons in Burkettsville and enjoyed camping and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
