Phyllis Ann Rose, age 65, of Montezuma, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born July 27, 1948 in Celina, to the late Matt Sr. & Coletta (Luthman) Schwieterman. She married Thomas Rose on August 18, 1973, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, and he survives in Montezuma. She is also survived by six children, Julia & Michael Collins of Beavercreek, James & Alma Rose of Los Gatos, California, Andrea & Chad Grieshop of Versailles, Michael & Coby Rose of Evanston, Illinois, David & Elizabeth Rose of Cincinnati and Eric & Kristen Rose of Corona, California; seven grandchildren, Brandon Rose, Rees and Hayden Collins, Paloma and Alessandra Rose, and Simone and Elizabeth Grieshop; eight brothers and sisters, Jean & Bob Neumeister of Oakwood, Joan & Bill Geise of Montezuma, Ken & Marilyn Schwieterman of Coldwater, Matt Jr. & Dee Schwieterman of Piqua, Trish & Ken Wrightsman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ralph & Jane Schwieterman of Coldwater, Romie & Brenda Schwieterman of Coldwater and Chris & Jerry Schulte of Chickasaw; and in-laws, Joanne & Louis Bohman of Osgood, Ginny & Alvin Dues of Coldwater, Barbara & Robert Ruhenkamp of Ft. Loramie, Elaine & Gary Thobe of Maria Stein, Linda & Mark Homan of St. Rose and Gary Rose of St. Sebastian. She was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Schwieterman and sisters-in-law, Joyce Schwieterman and Joyce Rose. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, where she was a Sacristan, a member of Christian Mothers, a member of the church and funeral choirs for 30 years and a former CCD teacher. She was a 1966 graduate of Coldwater High School and received a bachelor's plus degree from Bowling Green State University in math education with a minor in physical education and health. She was a former math teacher but most enjoyed living on a farm and being an Independent Mary Kay Consultant. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 19 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
