Phyllis Griesdorn

Phyllis (Roessner) Griesdorn, age 84 of Coldwater, died Friday, January 19, 2024, at Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater.

She was born on August 24, 1939, in Coldwater to the late Sylvester & June (Tobin) Roessner.  She was preceded by her first husband, Leon Davenport in 1965 and second husband, David Griesdorn in 1985.  Phyllis is survived by her children: Connie Henderson of Celina, Terry & Teresa Davenport of Odon, Indiana, Dave & Paula Griesdorn of Coldwater, Dean & Ellen Griesdorn of Coldwater, and Anita & Mike Rammel of Montezuma; daughter-in-law, Kay Davenport of Kentucky.  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Sylvia Meyer of Minster and sister-in-law, Sandra Roessner of New Knoxville.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Davenport, son, Daniel Davenport, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank & Carrie Griesdorn, two great-grandsons, son-in-law, Dave Henderson, brother. Donald Roessner and in-laws, Linus Meyer, Anna Rita & Virgil Huelskamp, and Paul Griesdorn.

Phyllis was proud of her large family and enjoyed giving her time to her grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed many years of crocheting blankets.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 27, from 1-3pm at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. A private family service will follow. Condolences for the family may be expressed at hogenkampfh.com
