Phyllis J. Fortman, age 81, of Coldwater, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born June 30, 1932 in Ft. Wayne, to the late Leonard & Eva (Ramsey) Jacquay. On April 12, 1958 she married Ralph Fortman in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Ft. Wayne, IN and he passed away, September 15, 2012. She is survived by seven children, Karen Hans of Findlay, Steve & Mary Fortman of Montezuma, Joyce & Mike Deiser of Ft. Wayne, IN, John & Rebecca Fortman of Maria Stein, Michele Schlater of Portland, IN, Andrew & Sheryl Fortman of Kettering and Daniel & Rachelle Fortman of Miamisburg, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son Mark Fortman, and brothers, Don Jacquay, Leonard Jacquay and Richard Arnold. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to Coldwater Public Library.
