Philip M. Mike Haisley, 72, Celina, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 10, 2011 at his home after a 6 month battle with cancer.
He was born in Newcastle, Indiana, April 30, 1939, to Philip E. and Priscilla Louise Parsons Haisley. His mother resides in Richmond, Indiana. On November 27, 1985 he married the former Janet Brandon, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are four children, Rebecca (Kent) Richards, North Manchester, Indiana, David (Michelle), Fort Wayne, Indiana, Julie (Shawn) Anderson, South Whitley, Indiana, Andrew (Dana Hughes) Haisley, Columbia City, Indiana, a step-daughter, Ann (Jeff) Becker, Plano, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A brother, Joseph (Judy) also survives in Richmond, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Christopher.
He was a 1957 graduate of Hagerstown High School in Indiana and attended Hanover College. He served seven years in the Army Reserves. He was employed at Huffman Manufacturing in Richmond, Indiana, Huffy Bicycles in Celina, and Continental Plastics in Lima, Ohio.
Private graveside services will be held in West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. Memorials may be directed to Grand Lake Hospice, St. Marys, Ohio or the Civil War Preservation Trust, 1156 15th Street NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20005. Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina is handling the arrangements.
