Paul C Mescher, age 85, of St Rt 127, Celina, Ohio, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born March 27, 1927 in Maria Stein, Ohio to the late William and Anna (Overman) Mescher. On June 09, 1979 he married Joan (McNeil) Wood-Mescher in Coldwater, Ohio and she died July 30, 2000. Paul is survived by siblings and in laws, Leander & Carol Mescher of Dayton, Ohio, Marie Schmidt of Vandalia, Ohio, Rita Sullivan of Gresham, OR, Thomas Mescher of Maria Stein, Ohio, Leona Mescher of Dayton, Norma Mescher of Dayton and Mary Catherine Mescher of Coldwater and a stepson William & Kathryn Wood of Burks VA. He is preceded in death by siblings and in laws, Albert Mescher, Alvin Mescher, John Mescher, Alvina & Henry Kuether, Agnes & Lawrence Hoying, George & Martha Mescher, Grace & Richard Selhorst, Leo Schmidt, George Sullivan, Jeanette Mescher and a stepdaughter Laura Wood. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma, Ohio, Veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict, a life time member of the St. Marys V.F.W. and Maria Stein American Legion. Paul worked at the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater for 43 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, July 02, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma, Ohio with Fr. Rick Friebel, officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Montezuma Ohio.
