Paul M. Johnides, age 87, passed away peacefully at 2:00a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 at the Miller House in Celina, Ohio. Paul is from Wooster, Ohio where he lived most of his life and recently moved to Celina to be with his family. He married Donalee Sue Arnette, who died Aug. 6, 2013. He was born on Aug. 23, 1925 to the late George & Ruth (Briggs) Johnides in Yorkville, Ohio. Survivors include his son & daughters-in-law Jeff & Jenny Johnides of Celina, Caroll Johnides of Carmel, IN, four grandchildren Paul & Kristen Johnides of Noblesville, IN, Jami & Zach Priddy of Wake Forest, N.C., Holli & Dr. J Ellis of Lima, Ali Johnides of Celina, 5 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters-in-law George & Betty Johnides of Monticello, KY and his sister Sarah Sommers of Orrville. He was preceded in death by his son John Johnides and his brother-in-law Darrell Sommers. He attended Orrville High School. Paul was a retired Brick Mason. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, as a proud member of the United States PT Boat Fleet. Private family interment will be held at a later date in Wooster Cemetery.
