Paul L. Braun, age 84, of Coldwater, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his home. He was born August 25, 1931, in Coldwater, to the late Leo & Barbara (Rammel) Braun. On August 28, 1954, he married Alberta (Ebbing), who survives in Coldwater. He is also survived by two children, Linda Shoup of Cridersville and Alan C. Braun & Elaine Depweg of Coldwater, two grandchildren, Thomas Bachar and Nichole Bachar, two great-grandchildren, Jonathon Bachar and Ian Bachar, brothers, Marvin & Helen Braun of Coldwater, and Donald & Virginia Braun of Minster, and in-laws, Eileen Braun of Dayton, Linda Braun of Greenville, Rosella Braun of Coldwater and Norma Krueger of Granville. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Shoup, brothers and sisters, Rita & Carlo Tosti, Stanley Braun, Robert Braun, Fred & Romilda Braun, Louis Braun and infant brother, Adrian Braun, and in-laws, Jeanette & Orville Siefring and Baird Krueger. He was a retired electrician and farmer. Paul was a U.S. Army Sgt. during the Korean War, where he served on “Old Baldy” and “Pork Chop Hill”. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, its Holy Name Society and a life member of the Coldwater Knights of Columbus 1991. He was also a life member of the Coldwater American Legion Post 470 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135, where he was also a member of the Military Honor Guard. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
