Patricia A. (Garman) Stachler, age 78, of Philothea died on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 9, 1944 in Chickasaw to the late August & Francis (Voskuhl) Garman. On November 10, 1962 in Chickasaw, she married Donald Stachler and he preceded her in 2011.
She is survived by five children: Donna Coates of Coldwater, Jeff & Peggy Stachler of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Scott & Karen Stachler of Coldwater, Brenda Schlarman of Coldwater, and Eric Stachler of Coldwater; grandchildren, Beth & Jacob Barhorst, Angela & Brandon Roth, Shawn Stachler, Kurt & Heather Harlow, Nate & Renee Harlow, Joe Harlow, Kayla & McKenzie Luginbill, Tyler Schlarman, and Carson Stachler; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings and in-laws: Mary Ann Garman of Chickasaw, Dennis Stachler of Burkettsville, Dianna Hemmelgarn of Versailles, Dwayne Stachler of Georgia, Darrell & Pat Stachler of Arizona, Dale & Connie Stachler of Greenville and Danny & Mona Stachler of Greenville. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Trevor Mobley ;siblings and in-laws, Norbert & Pricilla Garman, Charles & Elaine Garman, Veronica Schmitz, Rita Green, Alvira Clark, Victor Garman, Margaret Weaver, Virgil Garman, Barbara Rammel, Richard Garman, Marvin Garman, Dale & Dolores Droesch, and Phyllis Stachler.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic church in Philothea and the Ladies’ Sodality. Pat loved to play cards with her family.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Philothea. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery will follow the mass. Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 3, and from 9 to 10 AM on Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Condolences for the family may be expressed at www.hogenkampfh.com.
