Othmar J, Homan, age 83, of 1731 Rolfes Rd. Maria Stein, Ohio died at 7:30 PM on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at his home. He was born February 24, 1929 in Maria Stein to the late Lawrence & Mary (Schulte) Homan. He married Rita A. Tumbusch on May 16, 1953 in Cassella, Ohio. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2004. He is survived by children: Mike & Nancy Homan, Maria Stein, Bill Homan, Maria Stein, Cindy & Mark Bruns, Ft. Recovery & Patsy & Rob Schwieterman, St. Henry; 9 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann & Maurice Harting, Coldwater, Dolores & Mauri Cron, Coldwater, Irene Will, St. Sebastian, Dorothy & Dan Eifert, Maria Stein, brothers-in- law & sisters in law, Lester Stammen, St. Henry, Mary Catherine Hess, Coldwater, Bertha Heitbrink, Maria Stein, Wilfred & Betty Tumbusch, North Star, Betty & Ron Hilgefort, Celina, Olive Tumbusch, Mason, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Leonard & Alice Homan, sister Viola Stammen, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Roger Will, Jerome Tumbusch, Vic Hess, Ralph & Mary Tumbusch, Eugene Tumbusch, Harold Heitbrink. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, Men's Sodality of the Church, former member of St. John's Choir, Chickasaw VFW, and Maria Stein American Legion. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at New Idea in Coldwater & was a lifelong farmer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday September 12, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein with Rev. Gene Schnipke Celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Minster from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wednesday. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery.
