Norma R. Bettinger, age 75, of 704 W. Butler St., Coldwater, Ohio, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Celina Manor. Norma was born September 20, 1936 in Versailles, Ohio to the late Norbert & Lillian (Wright) Frantz. She married Cletus Bettinger on July 21, 1956 at St. Marys Catholic Church, Greenville, Ohio, and he survives in Coldwater, Ohio. She is also survived by two sons and their spouses, Mike & Cathy Bettinger and Jim & Judy Bettinger, both of Coldwater, Ohio, a daughter and spouse, Lisa & Dave Albers of Midland, Michigan, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister and spouse, Pat & Jerry Bruggeman of Greenville, Ohio, a brother and spouse, Norb & Jackie Frantz, Jr. of Union City, Indiana, three brothers-in-law and spouses, Melvin & Peg Bergman of Ft. Recovery, Ohio, Bob & Barb Bettinger and Carl & Ruth Bettinger, both of Coldwater, Ohio and four sisters-in-law, Rita Bettinger of St. Henry, Ohio, Marlene Bettinger and Grace Rutschilling, both of Coldwater, Ohio and Marguerite Griesdorn of St. Rose, Ohio. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Emerita Bergman, Martha & Ted Kunkler and Millie Lee, five brothers-in-law, Paul & Angie Bettinger, Herman Bettinger, William Bettinger, LaVern Bettinger, Cletus Griesdorn and Paul Rutschilling, and three sisters-in-law, Clarina & Serf Lefeld, Lucille & Harold Bergman and Mary Ellen Bettinger. She was a homemaker and artist and an early childhood coordinator and catechist, who taught religion for 20 years. A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, she was an Eucharistic Minister, a member of St. Ann's Altar Sodality, Coldwater V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #5135, Coldwater American Legion Auxiliary #470, the Museum of the Soldier, Portland and the Red Hat Society of Coldwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home " Coldwater. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
