Noel C. "Charlie" Leininger, age 78, of 1136 Kensington Ln. in Celina and formerly of 6750 Wabash Rd. in Wabash, passed away at 10:02p.m. on Sunday Oct. 9, 2011 at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, Ohio. He was born on Aug. 21, 1933 in Adams County, Indiana to the late Ott & Emma (Smith) Leininger. On June 5, 1992 he married Sally Rines, who lives in Celina. Also surviving are his Children Mark & Jeanette Leininger of Celina, Linda & Jon Vondenhuevel of Celina, Randy & Selena Bost of Pennville, IN, Tim & Pat Bost, Portland, IN, John & Sandy Bost Pennville, IN, Adam & Sheri Bost of Portland 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and his brothers-in-law Dick & Jean Rines of Portland, Curt & Mary Rines of Ridgeville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Cora (VanTilburg) Leininger and brother-in-law Clyde Lewis & Jane Rines. Charlie graduated from Celina Senior High School in 1952 and Repert School of Auctioneering in 1955. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Celina. He was a 4-H Leader and Advisor for 20 years. He owned and operated Noel C. Leininger Auctioneer business in Wabash, Ohio and was a School Bus Driver for Celina City School and retired in 1970. He raised Pure Bread Duroc Hogs. Active Sponsor and Exhibitor of Antique Tractor's at the Mercer County Fair. He was the sexton for Wabash Cemetery, Macedon Cemetery, Sate Line Cemetery, Live Oaks Cemetery and St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Thursday Oct. 13, 2011 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Celina, with Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home and 1 hour before services at the Church on Thursday. Condolences may be made at LHDfuneralhome.com.
