Nancy Jane Palte

Nancy Jane Palte age 90 of Minster passed away at 1:54 PM on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Otterbein Cridersville. She was born September 18, 1932 in Minster, Ohio to the late Elmer & Mathilda (Fischer) Bensman. She married Dr. William Joseph Palte on September 12, 1959 at St. Augustine Church, Minster. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2019. She is also survived by children: William Joseph Palte and his wife Sandra Palte, Delphos, Dr. Mary Palte-Knapke and her husband Joe Knapke, Lima, Sarah Miller and her husband Toby, Waterville, grandchildren: Amber & Andrew Palte, Elizabeth Knapke-Kopp & Ian Kopp & Benjamin Knapke, Rachel & Stephanie Miller, sister Shirley Veach, Richmond, IN, sister-in-law Rita Mae Plaugher, Lima.  She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and a graduate of Minster High School and worked as a secretary at Goodyear until she got married.  Nancy had a very generous heart, loved walking around Lake Loramie, loved fishing and especially dancing and met her husband William at the Crystal Ball Dance Hall in Frenchtown.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude children’s Hospital and the Smile Train.
