Morris J. Hickerson Jr.

Morris J. Hickerson, Jr. age 64 of Anna died at 9:08 PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at OSU Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on January 1, 1957 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Morris Sr. & Charlene (Rosenbeck) Hickerson.  On February 4, 1978 he married Marcia Grieves in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Botkins.  She survives in Anna.  He is also survived by a daughter & son-in-law April & Robert Shannon, Kettlersville, grandchildren: Brett, Preston, Brandon, Alexis and Madilynn, brothers & sisters:  Constance & Dale Forsythe, Piqua, Catherine & Richard Hagans, Anna, James & Patricia Hickerson, Fort Loramie, Timothy Hickerson, Sidney, Cynthia & John Wright, Piqua, Jerry & Suzie  Hickerson, Houston, Edward & Bev Hickerson, Minster, Margaret & Joel Rickey, Sidney, Daniel Hickerson, Sidney, Robert Hickerson, Minster, Melinda & David Kaeck, Sidney, Andrew & Wendy Hickerson, Yorkshire.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Archie Hickerson.  Morris was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Botkins.  He worked at Emerson for 42 years. Morris enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending all his grandchildren events and loved playing music at a number of different nursing homes.  He was also an avid Steelers fan. A funeral service will be held on Sunday October 31, 2021 at 4 PM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday.  Burial will take place at 11 AM on Monday, November 1, 2021 in Pearl Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church and the family to help with expenses.   Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com .
