Mildred E. Prenger, age 85, of Coldwater, died on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Celina Manor. She was born July 27, 1927 in Chickasaw, to the late Roman & Justina (Evers) Kuess. On May 3, 1952 she married Edwin F. Prenger, who survives in Coldwater. She is also survived by four children, Nicholas Prenger of St. Henry, Kenneth Prenger of Chickasaw, Daniel & Joyce Prenger of St. Henry and Debra & Randy Rindler of Tipp City, eleven grandchildren, Bill, Brian & Stacy, Eric & Kerry, Kimberly, Mark, Kelsey, Jason, and Kyle Prenger, Michelle, Lyndsey, and Matthew Rindler, brothers and sisters, Ernest & Gladys Kuess of Coldwater, Elmer Kuess of Celina, Dolores Muhlenkamp of Portland, Indiana, and Irene & Paul Heckman of Dalhart, Texas, and in-laws, Esther Kuess of Chickasaw, Angela Prenger, Mildred D. Prenger and Werner & Norma Jean Prenger, all of Coldwater, Viola Schmidt of Osgood, Mary Ann Lefeld of St. Henry, Ralph & Ruth Ann Prenger of Botkins, Alma Meyer of Ft. Loramie, Cletus & Rosann Prenger of Minster and Therese & Roger Schmidt of McCartyville. She was also preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Mary Kay Prenger and Joan Prenger, two grandchildren, Christopher Prenger and Karla Prenger, sister, Dorothy Tuente, brother, Lavern Kuess, and in-laws, Clarence Tuente, Irma Kuess, Alvin Muhlenkamp, Alvina & Vernon Ahrens, Norbert Prenger, Leonard Prenger, Raymond Schmidt, Delores & Louis Meyer, Martin Lefeld and Herman Meyer. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the St. Ann's Altar Sodality and did volunteer work for the church and school. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and bingo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, with Fr. Richard Walling, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
