Mike Cechvala

Mike Cechvala age 77 of Anna, Ohio died at 6:13 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton due to complications of stomach cancer. He was born on June 27, 1944 in Gajary, Czechoslovakia to the late Michal & Alžběta (Žačková) Cechvala. He married Judy Schmiesing in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville on August 30, 1974 and she survives in Anna. He is also survived by children: Monika & Milan Hamernikova, Czech Republic, Cheryl Cechvala & Tim Schultz, Orinda, CA, Diane & Andy Morgan, Batavia, Ohio, Stan Cechvala & fiancé Christina Green, grandchildren: Adam, Phoebe, Ida, Luke, Levi, Deanna and three sisters. He was preceded in death by parents and an infant brother. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. He was an engineer designer of industrial equipment. He loved reading, was a history buff and strong interest in steam engines. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, McCartyville. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, February 6, 2022 and at SACRED HEART CHURCH from 9 to 10 AM on Monday.
