Michael N. Laux, age 64, of Coldwater, died peacefully and surrounded by his family at his home, Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He was born July 27, 1950 in Celina, to the late Nicholas Laux & Lavina (Wagner) Laux, who survives in Coldwater. He married Linda (Wendel) on November 14, 1970 in Bryant, Indiana and she survives in Coldwater. He is also survived by two daughters, Jill & Craig Jenkins and Lisa & Sean Stewart, both of Coldwater, five grandchildren, Erin, Alli and Alex Jenkins and Seth and Sarah Stewart, brothers and sisters, Dan & Kathy Laux of Lima, Nita & Gary Sudhoff, Sharon & Robin McAbee, Susan & Tim Kremer, Donna & Ken Fisher, all of Coldwater, Janice & Larry Muhlenkamp of Ft. Recovery, Kathy & Gary Miller and Tim Laux, both of Celina, parents-in-law, Bob & Virgie Wendel of Bryant, Indiana, in-laws, Jim & Carol Wendel , Jeff & Diane Wendel and Dennis Wendel, all of Bryant, Indiana and Dave & Carla Wendel of Ft. Recovery, and a special aunt, Helen Wagner of Coldwater. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and a graduate of Coldwater High School and Ivy Tech, Ft. Wayne. Michael was employed at Coldwater Machine Company as a tool and die engineer/sales account manager and took great pride in his work. His greatest joy was providing for his family and seeing to their happiness. He enjoyed traveling to Florida with this family, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Jeff Gordon. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 29 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
