Merlyn W. Ashbrook age 56 of Sidney Ohio died at 2:45 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center. He was born on April 25, 1956 in Troy, Ohio to the late Loyd & Lorain (Rodewald) Ashbrook. He is survived by brother & sisters: Karen & William Cowan, Houston, OH, Sherri 7 Allen Hutton, Toledo, OH, Jolene & Bill Shortridge, Sidney, OH, Alan & Ellen Ashbrook, Ft. Loramie, OH, nieces & nephews Brian, Dana, Shaun & Michael Cowan, David, Isaac & Jeremiah Hutton, Katie & Laura Shortridge, Phillip & Kelli Ashbrook. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 8:00 PM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday. At Merlyn's request his body will be cremated and his family will hold a private service at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wilson Hospice.
