Maxine E. Head, age 92, formerly of 1300 Queensbury Dr. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 3:57 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Gardens at Celina. She was born on July 19, 1919 in Grabill , Indiana to the late Noah and Lillie (Grabill) Roth.

On Aug. 22, 1943 she married Rev. Glen D. Head, who died Oct. 14, 1998.

Maxine is survived by: Son Rev. Bruce D. & Nancy C. Head Of Celina, Grandchildren Julie & Dan Ogg of Columbus, Timothy & Rebecca Head ofCelina, Jody & Jon Davison of Bedford, VA., two great grandchildren Malcolm Head and Milton Head, Sister Geraldine Amstutz of Rochester, MI

She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce E. Head, grandson David A. Head and her brother-in-law Rev. Tillman Amstutz.

Maxine graduated from Leo High School in Leo Indiana with the Class of 1937 and graduated from Ft. Wayne Bible Institute in 1939.

She was a member of Grace Missionary Church in Celina. She Pastored with her husband in Frankfort, IN, Elkton MI., Roseville,MI., Celina, OH for 15 years, Bluffton, IN., and 11 years in the Park in Frostproof, Florida. She taught Piano and Organ for several years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday July 29,2011 at the Grace Missionary Church in Celina, with Rev. Robert Sweeney, Mr. Harold Lunsford, Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial will follow in Leo Cemetery in Leo Indiana. Friends may call from 2-5& 6-8p.m. on Thursday July 28, 2011 at the Grace Missionary Church in Celina and one Hour before services at the Church on Friday.Condolences may be made at LHDfuneralhome.com.
