Max Middendorf age 77 of Fort Loramie, Ohio died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Elmwood Assisted Living Center, New Bremen. He was born on September 16, 1939 in Fort Loramie, Ohio to the late Charles T. & Agnes S. (Meyer) Middendorf. He is survived by children: Lisa Robbins, Fort Loramie, Scott & Kim Middendorf, Versailles, Mark & Shelley Middendorf, Fort Loramie and Carla Traub, Fort Loramie, grandchildren: Wesley, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Taylor, McKenzie, Regan, Riley and Emily and great granddaughter Harper. He was preceded in death by, brothers Arthur Middendorf, Charles A. “Carl” & Norma Middendorf and Richard & Erma Middendorf. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie. Max was a graduate of Fort Loramie High School and Sinclair College, was in the National Guard for 3 years and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was co-owner and operator of Middendorf Stockyards Co. as a livestock buyer. Max was also the former owner of The Golden Lantern Restaurant, Russia. The family would like to say a special thanks to the donut ladies at Wagners IGA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Fort Loramie. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 18.
