Max Brodbeck

Max Brodbeck, age 65, of Montezuma, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Heritage Manor in Minster. He was born on October 6, 1960 to the late Vernon & Ruth (McMurray) Brodbeck.

He is survived by his children, Emily Brodbeck and Daniel Brodbeck.

He was a gamer at heart and loved attending gaming conventions with his friends and daughter. He hosted weekly gaming sessions most of his life and enjoyed playing in board game tournaments.

Max grew up running track and enjoyed biking and running through nature. He volunteered at local race events assisting in the check-in process and playing inspiring music to help the runners. He worked at the former Brodbecks, now Chiefs Supermarkets, in Coldwater for most of his career and was proud he could service his community. His favorite holiday was Halloween and always used his decorations to put on a good show to entertain the local kids. Max saw himself as a paladin for good and attempted to live his life to that idea.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Friends may call from noon until 2PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
